LOEB wanted to switch from an older SAP System to “SAP Best Practices for Retail”. Within the scope of the system and the data transfer project HCM ADVICE cleared legacy issues and optimized processes for the human capital management module. Former system structures, outdated drop-down menus, outdated selections fields on reports and many redundant customer-specific programs and customizations caused disarray and complicated the use of the system. The system migration also had to occur without disrupting the ongoing operations.
HCM ADVICE undertook the analysis and conception for the system migration including all required configurations and data transfers. Additionally, adjustments were made to reduce the complexity of the system. This included the reduction of payroll areas, employee groups, wage types, customer reports and more. Regular tests guaranteed a seamless transfer.
- Common SAP Environment for Human Resources, Finance and Logistics
- Better usability for system users
- Reduction of complexity through elimination of redundant functions
The project – including analysis, implementation, tests and go-live – was completed within 20 months due to the synchronization with the overall project. Most of the project was completed remotely. The workshops for analysis and conception were held on-site.
The follow-up activities include the ongoing support of the whole SAP HCM system.
